do not collect any sensitive information about our customers.
Nor do they use your contact information in any way (or we
wouldn't use them!), so you can register with complete
confidence. We use Paypal
for all online payments. You can pay securely with a credit card
or an echeck. Online payments are accepted until 6:00pm the day
before the first class. Late registrations must be arranged
with the trainer. If you prefer to
register offline,
call or email us to verify class
availability and request a registration form. Private
sessions must be arranged directly with the trainer. There is no
online registration process for private sessions; however, payment may
still be made online
via Paypal after registration arrangements have been made.. For
all classes except Basic II and Private Sessions, the first week
is for owner orientation. Dogs do not attend until the second
week.
Basic I 4
Ages five months and up. This class is for dogs that have
not been to school or who need a refresher course. Owners will
learn leadership skills with their dogs. Behaviors addressed
include jumping and barking. Among other achievements, dogs will
learn to wait, come and "leave it".
Basic II 4
Open only to recent graduates of Puppy or Basic I or by
permission of the instructor. This class builds on skills
already learned, focusing on heel, stay and come. The dog will
prepare for the Canine Good Citizen Test.
Puppy 4
Ages ten weeks to five months. In puppy class, we
deal with problems such as house training, food aggression,
biting, digging and destructive chewing. Puppies will also learn
basic skills like sit, stay and walking nicely on a leash.
Small Breeds 4
Ages ten weeks and up. Similar to Basic I, dogs and their
owners get a chance to focus on behavioral and socialization
issues specific to small breeds. Your shy little Yorkie
will be able to focus on learning instead of having to keep an
eye on that big scary Rottweiler.
Kids & Dogs 4
While kids ten and over are always welcome in class with
their parent or guardian, this is a fun summer time activity,
similar to Basic I, that is designed to help kids teach their
dogs manners and tricks!
Coming in 2006 4Watch
for Basic Review, a new 4-class review of the Basic 1 class.
Entry is by permission of the trainer and the cost is only $85.
Also, watch for special workshops and trick classes!
Private Sessions 4
Socialization with other dogs is an important part of
your dog's participation in group lessons. However, some dogs
have special issues that are best addressed in a one-on-one
setting. Usually, any such issues can be addressed in one or two
private sessions and the dog is then ready to attend a regular
class. Alternatively, some one who is unable to commit to six
weeks of class might want to do an accelerated program through
three or four private sessions.
